Application guidelines for

Enrollment Fee Exemption and Deferment

Tuition Exemption, Second semester of the year 2018

申請資格 Qualified Applicants 

入学料免除 Enrollment Fee Exemption

・学部生:1年以内に学資負担者が死亡、又は、風水害などで学資負担者か学生本人が被災した者。

Undergraduate Students who are recognized to have an extreme difficulty in paying the enrollment fee due to the death of the person mainly responsible for their livelihood or due to the damage by natural disasters such as storms or floods they have experienced within one year.

・大学院生:経済的理由等により入学料の納付が困難であり、かつ、学業優秀であると認められる者。

Postgraduates recognized as having difficulty in paying the enrollment fee for economic reasons, and also recognized as having outstanding academic capabilities.

入学料徴収猶予 Enrollment Fee Deferment

学部学生、大学院生で、経済的理由等により入学料の納付が困難であり、かつ、学業優秀であると認められる者。

Undergraduates or postgraduates recognized as having difficulty in paying the enrollment fee before entering the university for economic reasons, and also recognized as having outstanding academic capabilities.

授業料免除 Tuition Exemption

学部学生、大学院生で、経済的理由等により入学料の納付が困難であり、かつ、学業優秀であると認められる者。

Undergraduates or postgraduates recognized as having difficulty in paying tuition for economic reasons, and also recognized as having outstanding academic capabilities.

申請方法 Application procedures

入学料免除、徴収猶予、授業料免除の申請を希望する場合、以下の手順に従って手続きを行ってください。

When you wish to apply for enrollment fee exemption and deferment and tuition exemption, submit the application form by following the instructions below.

 

1. 申請書類の提出Submit the application documents

    提出書類を確認し(♦提出書類を参照)、申請に必要な全ての書類(確認票A、Bを含む)をそろえて、入学手続書類と併せて入学手続き期間内に提出してください。また、学生生活支援課担当者に面談日時を確認してください。

            1. Check the documents required for "Enrollment Fee Exemption and Deferment" or "Tuition exemption" application with the checklist, refer to Application documents to be submitted.

            2. Submit all of your application documents including checklist (form A, B), to the Student Affairs Department, University of Miyazaki (with the relative documents for admission procedures) by September 30, 2018.

             3. Schedule an appointment for the application reviews(interview).

2. 面談 Application reviews (interview)

Application reviews will be carried out in October.

Please come to 330 room with a student ID card on the date of your appointment.

***IMPORTANT***

・申請しても必ず免除(徴収猶予)になるとは限りません。

・免除予算は限られているため、予算が不足する場合には適格者で予算を広く分け合うことになります。よって、必ずしも希望する免除結果になるとは限りませんので、ご承知おきの上、申請してください。

・提出書類に虚偽の事項を記載、又は提出書類を偽造して入学料・授業料の免除の許可を受けたことが判明した場合には、許可が取消しとなり、免除分の全額を直ちに納付しなければなりません。

・免除(徴収猶予)の結果は、12月上旬に掲示します。

・授業料免除は学期毎の申請が必要です。後期分も免除を希望する場合は、後期の申請期間に改めて申請してください。授業料免除の選考は、前期と後期は別々に行いますので、家計状況に変更がない場合でも、前期と後期の免除結果が同じになるとは限りません。

・Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive an exemption.

・The Enrollment fee exemption budget is limited and, to give as many qualified students the financial support that they need, more applications will be granted for half exemption instead of the full amount.

・The Tuition Exemption Budget is limited and to give as many qualified students the financial support that they need, more applications will be granted for 200,000 yen or 100,000 yen exemptions instead of the full amount.

・When false information is found in any documents or fabricated documents are submitted, the approval of the exemption will be revoked and all fees must be paid to the University immediately.

・The result of Exemption and Deferment will be posted on the notice board/ website in the beginning of December.

・The academic year is divided into two semesters. The application for tuition exemption must be submitted in each semester. The application screening will be conducted for the spring semester (1st semester) and the autumn semester (2nd semester) separately. Even if the student’s financial situation is the same, the result for tuition exemption screening in the autumn semester (2nd semester) will not necessarily be the same as the result of the spring semester (1st semester).
